"Love's Fire Song" frames an impartial new perspective on the symbolic bonfires of July and August, taking place on either side of the Peace Walls in Northern Ireland and revealing a quiet, contemplative portrait of youth culture.

This series tells a lot about the identity of an entire culture, revealing the joy, stillness and sadness in the everyday. We felt this is an appropriate excuse to chat with him about the underlying theme of this issue.

''One of the main reasons I make pictures is because there is a rich and varied emotional depth to everyone's life, no matter how ordinary - a life just as beautiful and dramatic as everybody else's. All the joy, stillness, subtleties of emotion and sadness in the every day which links us all is what I am honing in on.

The emotional narrative of everyone's life is interesting, and that is what I am drawn to.''
