This painting is part of a series. In August every year, when the art supplies stores in San Casciano in Val die Pesa are closed, Hugo applies a lot of polish to paper. During these months, many ideas for upcoming larger-scale paintings are born, which gives these A2 paintings a particularly spontaneous character.
